Tiny medieval town of Óbidos offers a nice walk on top of its city walls and a sip of genuine and delicious ginjha. Don’t miss it!
When my friends first suggested visiting this little town, I was actually a bit hesitant. We were in the middle of a roadtrip with very packed schedule and it was obvious we are able to stop at only limited number of places on the way. The idea of just another small portuguese village with a few narrow streets and typical castle walls all around seemed rather nice, but not very special to me.
‚My parents visited it and they found it lovely‘, said one of my friends. The statement sounded so invincible and full of expectation that there was little room for discussion left. Alright alright, we were not skipping this town. And I must admit, it would be a pitty if we did!
